Dulce de Leche, Pear & Chocolate Toasted Sandwiches
Everyone loves a good toasted sandwich, but it’s not often that you see one made with sweet ingredients rather than savoury. Made with good quality sourdough bread and our delicious Dulce de Leche, pear and chocolate, these will not disappoint. Great for breakfast, dessert or just a snack.

Cook Time: 15 minutes
INGREDIENTS
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- Butter
- 2 pears, thinly sliced
- Dulce de Leche
- Mascarpone
- 40g dark chocolate, chopped
METHOD
- Butter the slices of bread on one side and set to the side.
- Heat a little butter in a heavy-bottomed frying pan and over a medium-high heat fry the pear slices until soft. Remove from the heat.
- Spread two of the pieces of bread with Dulce de Leche (on the sides without butter).
- Spread over the mascarpone followed by the chopped chocolate, then the pear slices.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, butter side on the outside.
- Put into a toasted sandwich maker and toast until golden brown and the chocolate is melted. Serve sliced in two.
